BLOOD OF THE PLANET
Instrumental
I’m a little molecule of H20
I’ve been a lot of places drip what I know
I’m a little molecule of H20,
When I fall through the sky I make the rainbow
I'm hot and cool, move fast and slow
Quench your thirst I’m the water and snow
Erode the land wherever I flow
Get picked up, the sun is my soul
I disappear, into thin air
become invisible and blow everywhere
From liquid to gas I evaporate
High in the sky, I condensate
When the atmosphere puts me under pressure
From the heavens, I'll send you a letter,
I’m sent in a droplet I come in a storm
splashing on your roof lucky it's waterproof
washing through the rivers I keep the earth fresh
leave it up to me I’m cleaning up the mess
I’m a little molecule of H20
I’ve been a lot of places drip what I know
Billions of years I've been pumping around
Before life on earth, I was the only cat in town
the blood of the planet, for life I am the key
the plants and animals rely on me
I love when my tamariki can swim free
jumping off the wharf and diving in the sea
the good times we had, the dolphins were perky
I don't see them much now I been getting murky
chilling in the ice caps I melt to the sea
oil spills and bottle caps all over me
In the ocean current, I move with the rush
I wash up on the shore and flood Kiribati
I'm getting upset because I'm no longer fresh
I mixing with chemicals, I can't fix the mess
I'm working super hard I'm doing my best
please help me let's conquer this mess
I’m a little molecule of H20
I’ve been a lot of places drip what I know
